There is much discussion over the meanings of hell, hellfire, and the state of the dead, and because there are so many views on this, we must let God’s Word interpret itself. What is the meaning of hell? IN ACTS 2:30:
“Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on His throne.
In (31): “He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption”.
Here explains that this refers to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Also, that His flesh did see NO corruption. Jesus was sinless.
The wages of sin are hell damnation, and since Christ had no sin, He would not stay in the grave and did not deserve hell.
It was because of our sin that Christ paid the price. At 2:31, he is speaking of Christ’s resurrection. He lay there for three days and rose on the third day, and the hell here in this scripture is speaking of the grave.
The phrase “his soul was not left in hell” means that Christ would not stay in the grave, and that he would be resurrected.
Go to Revelation 20:12: “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works.”
In Revelation 20:13: “and the sea gave up the dead, which were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead, which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their works”.
This speaks of hell and death in the same sentence.
It says that death and hell delivered up the dead who were in them. This means the dead rose from their graves and were brought up before judgment unto God. Go to the next verse and see what happens to hell and death……
20:14: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Since it calls this death the second death, there must have been a first death. The first death was when they were alive, then they died and were in hell (their grave) until the Lord’s second coming.
THEN, the wicked are raised out of their graves to face judgment. From there…they will be cast into the lake of fire.
Next verse:
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire. Those who were wicked are THEN thrown into the lake of fire to burn as their punishment for their sins.
It shows no evidence or proof that hell is immediately when a person dies, nor is it an eternal burning hellfire.
Hell, in these verses, refers to the grave.
Go to Psalm 16:8: “I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth, my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
David wrote these verses. He was happy and rejoiced because he knew that he was made whole through Christ and was pleased to be saved by Him. He trusts the Lord will not leave his soul in hell… (the grave) and that he will be resurrected into eternal life.
He says he shall rest (sleep) in hope, and that he can die in peace and rest in the grave until the resurrection because he knows he has served the Lord and will see eternal life.
In Proverbs 15:24: “departing from hell beneath”. This is not speaking of the end times hell, because none of the wicked will be able to depart from hell. But the second coming of Christ shall come, and when it does, the evil and the righteous will leave their graves.
The word “beneath” here is a clue because we know the dead are buried in their graves. This is speaking of graves.
In 2 Peter 2:4: “For if God spared not the angels that sinned but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment. Hell here is meant as graves. They will be reserved for judgment. Reserved means saved.
At the second coming of Jesus, the faithful will be resurrected, and they will be taken up into the air to meet the Lord. We will be in heaven with Jesus for the 1,000 years. The wicked will remain dead (as dung) on the ground when He comes; they shall die.
1,000 YEARS:
After 1,000 years, when Jesus comes back, He will judge the wicked, and then they will be sent to everlasting punishment. New Jerusalem will come down with the righteous in it. Not everlasting punishing. There is a difference. Notice the “ing”. You know the difference.
Those who die sleep in their graves until they are raised either to everlasting life or everlasting damnation.
The lake of fire is a fire that cannot be put out (extinguished) by any man. It will burn until all are consumed. Then they shall be “ashes under the feet of the saints.”
The fire will eventually burn out after all is consumed, just as Sodom and Gomorrah burned until all was consumed, the same thing.
Ghenna in the Bible was a place where they burnt their trash and bodies. These burnt up and became ashes as well. The worms and the fire would continue until it was about to go out, and they would add more trash so that it would start back up. It didn’t mean it burned for eternity.
Mercy of God
Now, let’s discuss this as a matter of God’s mercy. The false teachings that teach hell is a fire that people are thrown into forever and always, or eternity, are a wicked teaching meant to drive people against God, thinking He is evil. But what if what we have been taught is wrong?
What if that fire only burns until what it is burning is consumed? What if we were taught wrong, what if our Pastors were also taught wrong, and theirs, and so on? Well, we know the lies started somewhere by a man in the world. Someone lied, someone listened to Satan.
How many people do you suppose have left God after thinking about hell so much?
How many have lost a loved one who did not know Jesus Christ, and they believe their loved one is burning even today, repeatedly?
How many of us who believe that wicked lie might decide this is not a God we want to serve?
How many people will not come to Christ because of this lie?
But what if the truth is this:
When we die, we sleep in our graves, just like when Jesus explained about Lazarus, who had” fallen asleep, and the disciples did not understand it correctly, so Jesus then clarified and said, “Lazarus is dead. This verse alone should make you think.
What about the girl He raised and said she was only sleeping, yet she was dead?
We die, we sleep, or rest in our graves.
We know nothing when we sleep.
Those who love Jesus can’t even praise Him or talk with Him while they sleep.
They know nothing.
There is plenty of scripture explaining this.
So, those people who claim they can speak to the dead, or they talk with a loved one, will be very easily deceived in these last days by spiritualism.
What about all this spiritualism? Who is making house calls to people? They are demons, just demons.
They may look or talk like a loved one, but they are only mimicking.
We die, we sleep, we wait for Jesus to come, and then He will raise us at His coming.
If we have not followed Jesus, then we will continue to sleep until He comes after the 1,000 years it talks about in the Bible. Then those who are wicked will be raised to their judgment, then cast into the lake of fire, for their what? For their destruction.
We do not die and go straight to Heaven, nor straight to hell.
HOW LONG DOES HELL LAST?
Jesus said: “I am the truth, the way, the life”, in Matthew 13:41-43…. His truth is the only truth we can count on. Some will be cast into the fire, and some will enter heaven. He does not say they will burn for eternity.
In Mark 9:43: “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off, for it is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go to hell, where the fire never goes out. What does this mean then? In Matthew 5:30…read…” than for your whole body to go into hell”. This means all parts of the physical body.
Matthew 13:29-30 is the parable of the wheat and the tares. Read this again and then read Matthew 13:37-42. Here, he explains the parable and who the players are in it.
Notice that the Harvest, He says, is “the end of the world,” and separation will take place then.
The harvesters are the angels.
Judgment takes place after Christ comes.
Jesus would not throw them into their punishment (hellfire) before they are judged.
They are saved for judgment and are sleeping in their graves, waiting for it.
And read 2 Peter 2:9: “if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment”.
· Also, remember to always read the scriptures around the scriptures of interest. Don’t just grab one here and there.
·
WHERE ARE THE WICKED WAITING?
John 5:28-29: “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His voice and come out, those who have done good will rise, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.
They will both rise and receive their just rewards.
Also, Luke 14:14: “And you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous”.
In Matthew 16:27: “For the Son of man is going to come in His Father’s glory, with His angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done. Notice He said ….” THEN He will reward them……
Revelation 22:12: “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. Here He is talking about when He returns.
Now, let’s read Daniel 12:2: “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake; some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Notice they are in their graves, not in heaven or hell. Also, notice it says, “everlasting contempt,” not “everlasting burning in hell.”
“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts (witchcraft of its types), the idolaters, and all liars…their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death
. I also read Revelation 1:8 and 16:17.
Note here, too: He is listing the Ten Commandments!!!!
~~~~~~
WHAT IS THE PUNISHMENT?
The second death is the punishment. After the resurrection takes place of the wicked…they will be judged, then thrown into the lake of fire.
They will die the second death IN the fire.
Let’s say that a man named Sam died. He died without Christ. He is dead (asleep) in the grave, and he will stay asleep in the grave, waiting for judgment at the very end of time when Jesus comes down with the New Jerusalem.
That is when Jesus will resurrect all the wicked. This is that moment when “every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord.”
But, after they have confessed that fact, Satan will again be there and will convince them all to get up and charge Jesus and the New Jerusalem.
This is the moment when Christ shall bring everything to its end. This is when everyone will then be thrown into the lake of fire.
They all shall be in the fire, and they shall burn (die) until they are all completely burnt to ashes.
They do not burn in hell for eternity.
They are not going straight to hell in life if they die either.
When they burn up, they become ashes. Jesus does not say they are punishing, but they receive punishment—two different words.
First, they must receive the resurrection from the dead (just sleeping) before they can then suffer the second death, which is the final death.
This final death happens at the end, the end of all the battle here on earth, right before He makes the new earth and heavens. This time is described in Revelation 20:7-9. Satan is released from his prison, his chains. The chains, of course, are not literal; chains represent them. The reason he cannot go out and harass any people at this time is that those who were alive at Jesus’ coming were destroyed by His coming. They lay across the ground, and they were dead. (sleeping)
SATAN IS LOOSED
John describes the above time in Revelation 20:7-9. When the 1,000 years are over, satan will be released from his prison, which again, is not a physical chain that has him bound. When he was chained, he was chained by circumstances. He lived here on earth after the return of Jesus. There were no humans left on earth for him to influence; hence, he was bound or chained. No one was left except him and his demon angels. All other people who were alive at the time Jesus returns (this next time) were either taken with Jesus or those who were alive and wicked were left behind and destroyed by the brightness of Jesus’ coming.
Those in Christ will rise in the air with the righteous who have died before (were just sleeping) and go to Heaven with Him.
But after 1,000 years, all things change. Jesus now returns to earth for the last time, with all power, and is ready for judgment. Satan will go out once more, his final time to deceive the world.
He will be able to influence once more, because all the people who had rejected Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are now resurrected for the last time. (Revelation 21:2).
This is not a second chance. There are no teachings from Jesus returning to re-teach anyone. It is too late. He came once to teach during the New Testament. This time He comes for rewards to give.
We know about the lies about the secret rapture where people fly out of their clothes, right? Well, they backed it up with another lie. There is no time Jesus will rule and re-teach anyone. This is why the time is now, or never, to get saved.
When He Brings Down New Jerusalem:
Now, it is Gog and Magog getting together for battle. In number, they are like sand on the seashore. They march across the breadth of the earth and will surround the camp of God’s people, the city He loves.
Not going into the whole thing, but here is where these people will try their last time to kill God’s people, and they have been judged, and now the fire will come down from heaven and shall devour them.
“But the rest of the dead lived NOT AGAIN until after the 1,000 years were finished” in Revelation 20:5. This is the fire that is hellfire and everlasting punishment.
No one has gone to hell or heaven yet.
Yes, there may be some people up there as we know.
But people die here, and they are in safe keeping, either in Christ or they are the wicked who reject Him, and they are also asleep in their graves, awaiting their own judgment.
We are now looking for Jesus to return to the sky.
He will come; every eye will see Him. He will raise those who are dead and are His, and they will meet us who are still alive when He comes. We are here through tribulation. He promised to get us through it, not take us out of it.
We are then taken to Heaven.
Those who made it through tribulation with us and are the wicked will be killed, by the “brightness of His coming.” They die. We are spiritual and born again and it will not kill us to see Him. It will then.
They die, lie all over the ground.
We will then be in heaven with Him for 1,000 years.
After, He brings us down in the New Jerusalem, and this is when the final resurrection will take place.
Remember that Satan had been left here with his demons and is (chained by circumstances, not by genuine chains). He can’t harass anyone for 1,000 years, and he will be miserable. No one will be alive to harass. They were killed when Jesus came 1,000 years before and took us to Heaven.
Where is Hell?
The fire that devours the wicked will be right here on “the breadth of the earth. Peter says this in 2 Peter 3:7. Then he goes on to describe the day of the Lord, when the elements melt with fervent heat. He says the earth is reserved for that fire which will bring judgment and perdition to the wicked. Their punishment will be on this earth.
Read Isaiah 34:8-9. “For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution, to uphold Zion’s cause. Edom’s streams will be turned into pitch, her dust into burning sulfur; her land will become blazing pitch. It will not be quenched night and day; its smoke will rise forever, from generation to generation it will lie desolate; no one will ever pass through it again.”
This means this planet will be destroyed by fire. Even the streams and the dust will be consumed by pitch and brimstone. Notice it does NOT say that they (the people and things) will burn forever and be alive burning. It says it will not be quenched day and night.
To be quenched means to be extinguished or to be put out. It says it will not be quenched night and day. A fire this huge will burn a long, long time.
Its smoke (as it calls it) will rise forever.
That means the consequences will rise forever and ever. No one shall pass through it again, meaning this shall never have to happen again. The consequences of that fire shall be forever.
In Psalm 11:6, David shows the fate of the wicked. The earth is the place of punishment, and the agent of the sentence is fire. This earth will turn into a lake of fire. Last time, the world was destroyed by water; this time, it will be by fire.
Also, we must remember that Jeremiah saw the state of the world at the end of the world. At the end of Jeremiah, he gives his account of the vision God gave him: he looked, and the earth was empty and void. He goes on to describe it as having no living thing on it.
It takes the state in which it began, after the fire has completely burned everything up. Then is when Jesus will create the whole earth and heavens again, as new.
This earth, the new earth, will be our final home. Jesus said: “blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth”, in Matthew 5:5. Peter saw the earth explode and burn with great noise, and then he saw a new earth, where the righteous dwell . 2 Peter 3:13. And the wicked cannot continue to live in this planet because it is promised to Abraham’s spiritual seed. (Romans 4:13).
The earth will be purged of all sin, and then it will return to its state at the start of creation. The wicked never trusted Jesus to be their personal Lord and Savior. They turned Him down, and they turned down eternal life. Only the righteous will receive eternal life in John 3:16. The wages of sin are death in Romans 6:23. The wicked are promised death = eternal death. The righteous are promised life = eternal life. Their punishment is over in a literal sense, but in eternity it lives on. The wicked are dead forever, never again to be resurrected to life, and they do not receive the gift of eternal life.
“Behold, I shew you a mystery……
When Jesus returns at the last trumpet, and the resurrection takes place, the righteous will be instantly changed into immortal beings. The wicked at this time does not change because they never received this gift of immortality and eternal life. They refused it.
The righteous instantly change from mortal to immortality, and the wicked will be destroyed as the righteous are rising in the air to meet Jesus.
If we go to Ezekiel 18:4: “The soul that sinneth; it shall die.”
If the wicked continued to live for eternity in hellfire, wouldn’t they also be receiving a living for eternity as well?
Jesus never promised the wicked eternal life, no matter where it is. He promised that “ye shall surely die”.
Satan has lied and said, “Ye shall surely not die.
The suffering that occurs for eternity to the wicked is the sobering news that they will die and not ever have the chance to be resurrected unto life.
Reread John 3:16. They perish, they die. The wicked will die the second death, which is an eternal death and never rise to life again. That death is what is eternal—an everlasting death.
I am asking you to sit, pray in the Spirit, and ask God to open your eyes to the truth. We have all been lied to about death, heaven, and hell. Satan had these lies for specific purposes, and they have served many. It has served these wicked lies:
The Catholic teachings on the in purgatory and paying to pray for them to enter Heaven.
The witchcraft and demons that take place. People will fall for deception, thinking their past loved ones are coming to visit them. This is spiritualism, and it will be demons playing the parts of the past loved ones.
It has turned people totally against God because they see Him as a straight-out monster.
People have been devastated and lived in hell in their minds, thinking someone they love is burning in hell this whole time.
All wicked teaching, and yet it is so easy to understand.
There are many reasons people do not know the truth. For one thing, they read a lot of literal readings of Revelations, which is not literal.
Revelations is not written in ORDER. It follows a different pattern from the other books.
People have been lied to, and they think they have been visited by loved ones, coming to see them, when it is really demons playing their games.
Our loved ones who died are sleeping (dead) in their graves where they were buried.
They will hear His voice when He returns and will rise when He calls them out of their graves.
They are not in Heaven now or hell.
Hell is not everlasting.
The consequences are everlasting.
Once a person has rejected Christ for the last time, they will later be thrown into the lake of fire and burn like anything else in a fire would burn.
Then they will be ashes under our feet. Sin and wickedness no more, and the earth cleansed and made new.
I do not understand why people would not feel better knowing that their loved ones are sleeping. They are not in heaven looking down at sadness here.
They are not burning in hellfire all this time, either.
They die, sleep, and wait for their just reward.
I can only deliver the message. That is all I can do.
God taught me this right after I fell at the Cross. I think the difference was that I did not have any other doctrine in me to get out of me when He taught me. He was able to start fresh with me. But then again, my husband had a different doctrine, and yet he understood.
My heart is praying for as many as possible to wake up to these essential truths, for many vital reasons.
To know now before the demons, deceive people with loved ones visiting and all the spiritualism that is coming.
1,000 YEARS AND CHRIST’S COMING
I am going to share an outline here to present the truth about the 1,000 years and about Christ’s coming this next time. It is my heart to share the truth.
We have all been misled by the case in point. I will also, over the next few days, give you outlines on the following:
The Study of the prophecy of Daniel 9 that everyone believes is the covenant of the Antichrist. You need this to understand many things that have been taught to us incorrectly. If you get the Daniel prophecy wrong, all else follows wrong.
The state of the dead has been taught wrong, as sad as that is. They are asleep in their graves.
Satan being bound is not literal. Circumstances bind him because all the wicked were killed at the return of Christ.
The final battle against God and the saints.
Now, what you do with all this is up to you. That is not my fault. I am here to share it so you can do your own study.
After a few days, I will try to put it all together for you in a study. But this is a lot of work because it involves so much.
You must understand that I am having to throw this together right now. My full studies are in storage, so I am going to do the work for you, but it will take a few days. My heart is with you, and I must share the truth. This is not to judge anyone or anything of the sort. We have all learned from family, pastors, or others, but we must understand it all. I will do my best to open it up to you all. All done in love.
